1. Who we are

MetaX Ads Academy is operated as part of MetaX Academy ("we", "us"), curated by Maher. Contact: hello@metax.academy or via our contact page.

2. Data we collect directly

  • Nothing account-based. The course requires no registration, login or personal profile.
  • Local learning data. Your lesson progress, checklist ticks, quiz scores and contact-form drafts are stored only in your own browser using IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device and we cannot access it. You can erase it anytime with the "Reset all saved progress" button or by clearing your browser's site data.
  • Contact messages. If you email us (directly or via the contact form, which opens your own mail client), we receive your email address and message. We use them solely to reply and keep them no longer than 24 months.

3. Cookies and advertising

This site is funded by advertising. We work with the following advertising partners:

  • Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve personalised ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices. For details on how Google uses data when you use our site, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Adsterra. Some ad placements are served by the Adsterra network (via our ad-serving domain ad.metax.academy). Adsterra may use cookies or similar identifiers for frequency capping, fraud prevention and ad measurement. See the Adsterra privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set strictly-necessary security cookies (e.g. bot-protection tokens). These are technical, not advertising, cookies.
  • Google Fonts. Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN; your IP address is technically transmitted to Google when fonts are fetched.

4. Consent (EEA / UK visitors)

Where required by the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, personalised advertising is only served after you give consent through the consent banner (a Google-certified CMP). You may change or withdraw your consent at any time via the banner's settings link. If you decline, you will see non-personalised ads or no ads.

5. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — advertising cookies and personalised ads.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — security, fraud prevention, aggregate ad measurement, replying to your messages.

6. Your rights

  • GDPR (EEA/UK): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Contact us at hello@metax.academy. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • CCPA/CPRA (California): you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. Use the consent banner's "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option, the opt-out links in section 3, or email us.

7. Children

This site is a general-audience educational resource and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data retention & security

We hold no server-side user database for this course. Locally stored learning data remains on your device until you delete it. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS.

9. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date and a visible version bump — never a silent edit.

💡 Meta note for learners: this page doubles as a template of exactly what Google requires a publisher's privacy policy to disclose — third-party vendors, the DoubleClick cookie, Ads Settings and aboutads.info opt-outs. Compare it with Lesson 6 of the AdSense track.
